Meet our Arabic and Quran teachers.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Mahmoud Alasaal is an Al-Azhar–trained Qur’an and Qirāʾāt scholar with over 13 years of teaching experience. He holds multiple Ijāzāt in Tajwīd and the Ten Qirāʾāt and is the Director and Co-Founder of Shaykhi Academy, where he teaches advanced Qur’anic studies, memorization, and Arabic reading programs.
Managing Director
Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is an Al-Azhar–educated Hafiz, Qur’an instructor, and Managing Director of Shaykhi Academy. He holds multiple Ijazat in Qira’at, teaches Islamic sciences and Arabic online, and authored the academy’s official curriculum. Known for his energy and strong connection with young learners, he combines academic expertise with modern teaching skills.
Senior Qur’an Teacher
Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is an Al-Azhar–educated senior Qur’an teacher, translator, and imam. He specializes in Qur’anic studies, Arabic, and Islamic Studies for non-native speakers, with strong experience in Islamic and legal translation. He memorized the Qur’an at a young age, holds multiple ijazāt, and brings both academic excellence and practical experience to his teaching.
Egyptian Qur’an teacher
Shaykh Ahmed Saber is an Egyptian Qur’an teacher and Hafiz with Ijazat in Asem Qira’at. A graduate of Al-Azhar University’s Faculty of Pharmacy, he is experienced in teaching Tajweed, Qur’an recitation, and Arabic to non-native speakers.
Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher
Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is an Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher with over two years of teaching experience. A native Arabic speaker who memorized the Qur’an at a young age, he teaches Qur’an and various Islamic sciences to both children and adults using effective, student-centered methods.
Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher
Mr. Abdullah Moftah is an Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher, native Arabic speaker, and imam. He specializes in Qur’an recitation and Islamic studies and holds a license in the recitation of ‘Asim Barawiyyah.
Qur’an teacher
Mr. Nour Eddin Mahmoud is an Al-Azhar student, Hafiz of the Qur’an since age 13, and a qualified Qur’an teacher with multiple Ijazahs in Qira’at, Tajweed, and Hadith. He teaches both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, communicates in English and Arabic, and is known for his child-friendly, engaging teaching style.
Egyptian native Arabic speaker teacher
Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly is an Egyptian native Arabic speaker and medical student who teaches Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers of all ages. He is multilingual and known for his clear teaching approach and interest in self-development.
Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman is a senior Qur’an teacher with over 10 years of experience. She is a graduate of Al-Azhar University and holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim. She specializes in teaching Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, basic Islamic studies, and Arabic conversation, using clear and engaging methods for children and women of all ages.
Ms. Alaa Elbakry is a 29-year-old native Arabic speaker and Qur’an teacher with experience teaching online. She studied Tajweed at Daar Iqraa and has memorized key portions of the Qur’an with excellent grades. She is also a published writer and actively participates in charitable initiatives.
Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt
Ms. Kholoud Hamada is an experienced Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt, fluent in Arabic and English. She specializes in Tajweed, Qur’an recitation, and Islamic rulings for children and adults. With over three years of teaching experience and Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal, she is currently pursuing Ijazah in ‘Asim. Known for her engaging and adaptable teaching style, she makes learning both effective and enjoyable.

Ms. Asmaa Gohar is a certified Arabic and Qur’an tutor from Egypt with over 6 years of experience. She teaches MSA, Egyptian Arabic, Qur’an with Tajweed, and Islamic studies for non-native speakers. Known for her patient and engaging teaching style, she adapts lessons to each student’s level and learning goals.
